Diana B. Carlin, Ph.D. is a professor emerita of communication and former associate provost at Saint Louis University. Prior to her tenure at Saint Louis University, she was a faculty member for 24 years in communication studies at the University of Kansas where she served as graduate and international dean for seven years.
Dr. Carlin holds bachelors and master's degrees in education from KU and a Ph.D. in speech communication from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She began her professional career as a high school teacher in Rossville and Topeka, Kansas and she served as middle school coordinator for the Topeka Public Schools for two years. She has served on the advisory board for the Brown (v. Board) Foundation for Educational Equity, Excellence and Research in Topeka, KS.
