Cesar Cea moved to the United States from El Salvador when he was 5 years old. He grew up in the Kansas City area and later studied engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology. After graduating with a mechanical engineering degree he proceeded to work at Burns & McDonnell engineering firm with a focus in the power industry.
His career as a professional engineer in a global market has offered Cesar opportunities to grow professionally while working on challenging projects for one of the top engineering firms in the world. Cesar has also served on the Burns & McDonnell Diversity Advisory Committee that is dedicated to creating awareness and understanding of all cultures and recognize and appreciate diversity of employees, clients and communities. He is currently an Associate at Burns & McDonnell and works as an engineering manager.
Now with a family of his own, Cesar enjoys staying connected with his siblings and now 18 nieces and nephews. Grateful for his accomplishments, Cesar is passionate about serving students in the Kansas City area by offering them educational opportunities and dedicating time to mentoring efforts. Cesar is on the board of directors for the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers and the New Frontier Educational Foundation.
